The Small Business Basics The Small Business Basics Workshop is intended to help new businesses get off to the right start by studying the legal requirements of starting a business, and covering subjects that will impact the success or failure of the business. Subjects covered in the workshop include Developing an Effective Business Plan, Record Keeping and Taxes, Bank Loan Financing, Bridgeway Capital Financing, Marketing, Legal Aspects of Small Business.

Workshops are held at DeVry University, 210 Sixth Avenue, Suite 200, in downtown Pittsburgh.
Note that this address is 210 Sixth AVENUE, not Sixth Street. The building is at the triangular
corner of Sixth Avenue and Liberty Avenue. The prior address of this site, "One Oliver Plaza",
is no longer valid. The walk-in entrance to the building is across the street from the Wood Street
"T" Station. There is a Starbucks coffee shop on the first floor (Plaza level). Convenient discounted
underground parking is available in the FreeMarkets Garage. Access ramps to the garage are from
Liberty Avenue and from Wood Street.
After parking, take the elevator to the "P" or Plaza level, sign in at the Security Desk, and then
take the elevator to the second floor.
